About the Artists ~
Peter and Cassidy often work on the same canvas; their collaborative process pushes the finished artwork to reflect more than one mind--a blending of styles and ideas.
Peter Hyatt Middleton
Peter received a BA degree from New College of Florida, an MFA in painting from Western Michigan University and a M. Ed. from Grand Valley State University. After working for nearly 20 years on large-scale collaborative environmental installations and working mostly as an abstract expressionist painter, he returned recently to painting from nature, capturing the beauty of natural environments in a highly representational style.
With experience in making and teaching as an adjunct professor of studio art, Peter works full-time teaching K-12 public education in studio art and art history and was the proud recipient of 2011 Charter School Teacher of the Year Award.

Cassidy Stock
Cassidy Stock graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2012, with a BFA in studio practice. Her history with the beautiful vistas of upstate lower Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula dates back to childhood summers spent on Van's beach and hiking up to Pyramid Point.
Cassidy's late grandparents, Riley and Joanna Newby, operated the Falling Waters Lodge for 20 years. They always supported her creative endeavors and encouraged her art to flourish. Cassidy is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the business that her grandparents loved so much.
